Expert summary
Mobile TV is a television service delivered to customers through a mobile telecommunications network like the mobile phone carrier. South Korea became the first country in the world to have mobile TV in 2005 when it started satellite and terrestrial mode of service. Today we find South Korea and Japan at the forefront of this innovative technology. In Hong Kong the operator CSL launched mobile TV services in 2006. BT started offering mobile TV service in the United Kingdom in September 2006. Sprint offered the service first in the US but now there are Verizon wireless and AT&T offering the same service. In fact mobile TV combines the services of a mobile phone with television content.Recommended content

MobileTV on Wikipedia
Typically a great place to use as a starting point, there's a reason that Wikipedia shows up first or near the top of most search engine searches. In this case, however, their entry on MobileTV is perhaps just as convoluted as the state of the technology itself. Use it as a starting point to discover the technology, not as an authoritative source (though I'm sure you know that, why else would you have come here). -

PhoneMag: Mobile News
PhoneMag is a good source for short news summaries but don't expect to find too much deep information on the industry. They also focus on areas in the Mobile industry outside of MobileTV. As a NetShelter Branded Network (NSBN) their focus is on keeping visitors clicking on ads and not necessarily on reporting the news.

Vodafone Live! Handset line-up
Vodafone's latest line of Mobile Video capable phones deliver high quality and a shifting screen for widescreen viewing, however no pre-installed Flash FlashLite and low support for online/mobile video shows a clear MobileTV broadcast-focused strategy, almost shamelessly neglecting their initial relationship with YouTube and instead promoting their new Vodafone Live! service. -
